I use whatever media necessary to manifest that elusive quality that connects the emotional and spiritual to the physical art form".

Biography
Terrie Remington was born in Rockville Centre, New York, and studied art in Phoenix, Arizona, the University of Arizona at Tucson; with artist Frank Milner in San Francisco, the Esquela de Bellas Artes, in Madrid, Spain; the Mendocino Art Center in California; and the University of Washington in Seattle.

Painted Sculptures
The sculpture painting technique was developed by Remington during her eleven years of residency in Spain, and was first introduced in 1967 at her gallery "Refugi d'Art" in Barcelona, Spain. Paintings are sculpted on canvas covered board. Multi-media sculpture is of clay, natural fibers and raw linen, marbleized for durability, then painted in acrylics and oils. Sealed driftwood, shells and feathers are sometimes utilized. Ground marble is added to produce special effects. Armature is used on freestanding sculptures as well as paintings of
deep dimension.

Free Standing Sculptures
In addition to sculptured paintings and wall structures, the canvas technique is also utilized to incorporate stained glass, wood and other mixed media, to create sculptured forms in unlimited sizes and unrestricted shapes.

Sculpted and Other Murals
To create three dimensional murals, sculptured objects are installed onto painted murals and portable panels. Regular painted murals are also available.
